So much space: With 4 decks and a sun deck, A-ROSA SENA is the largest passenger ship on the Rhine and captivates with the space and comfort she offers guests and crew.
Innovative sailing: A-ROSA SENA has a hybrid propulsion system with electric and diesel engines, as well as a battery storage, which allows for almost silent and emission-free docking in the cities.
Balconies for everyone: The standard cabins on Decks 2 and 3 measure 21 m², are divided into a separate sleeping and lounge area and have a balcony with seating for two people.
Families welcome: Deck 1 houses a large Family Area with a dedicated Kids Club room and 28m² family cabins sleeping up to five people.
Pure relaxation: Also on Deck 1 is the spacious SPA-ROSA with sauna, whirlpool, ice grotto, heat bench, relaxation room, treatment rooms and fitness room.
How pool is that? The roomy sun deck invites to enjoy the calming scenery to the fullest. Adults can cool off in the 23 m² pool and children in their own shallow pool.
Culinary splendour: Guests can look forward to plenty of indulgence in the restaurant areas with gourmet buffets and the à la carte SENA Grill. On top, A-ROSA SENA has multiple bars and elegant outdoor areas.
Great entertainment: There are entertainment formats with guest artists in the lounge or exciting excursions for the whole family.
New ports: In addition to the highlights of Amsterdam, Rotterdam and Antwerp, A-ROSA SENA also visits new ports such as Utrecht.

Innovative Propulsion System & Sustainable Thinking
There are many ways in which A-ROSA SENA is a real novelty. Her key feature: She is an E-Motion Ship with hybrid propulsion. The propulsion system consisting of diesel and electric motors as well as a battery storage enables so-called peak shaving, i.e. the levelling out of peak loads. This means that A-ROSA SENA’s generators run as efficient as possible in their optimum power range.
When docking in port, the engine is switched to the electric motor, which draws its energy from the battery storage. This happens almost silently and emission-free. The battery storage can be recharged during sailing or by using an adequate shore power connection.
With this new ship, A-ROSA is taking another step on the course towards a sustainable future and taking responsibility for the cruise regions and their people.
Family Area with Kids Club and Family Cabins
With A-ROSA SENA, the concept of multi-generational travel was reimagined, and so a separate Family Area was created on Deck 1. Here guests will find the big dedicated Kids Club room, which is the first of its kind on a river cruise ship. In the Kids Club, the little guests can look forward to many great adventures, play to their hearts’ content and experience Europe’s most beautiful cities together with new friends. The club is divided into different areas for playing, crafting, relaxing and exploring.
Adjoining the Kids Club on Deck 1 are twelve 28 m² family cabins that can accommodate up to five people. In addition to a large double bed, there is a loft bed designed especially for children with portholes and a curtain. There is also a separate seating area, which includes another sofa bed and a dedicated games area. The bathroom with shower and two sinks is separate from the restroom.
A mix of adventure and relaxation is what makes river cruising the perfect holiday for the whole family. On board A-ROSA SENA, a spacious sun deck awaits guests after they have explored the destinations in depth. Another industry’s first is the shallow kids’ pool, in addition to the adults’ pool.
So Much Space: Large Cabins with Balconies
Together with the team from JOI-Design, a unique interior design was developed for A-ROSA SENA, which perfects the travel experience. The 140 cabins onboard all share a modern, but cosy ambience. The standard cabins on Decks 2 and 3 are 21 m² in size and feature a balcony with seating and a sectioned lounge area with a sofa bed.
A-ROSA SENA also has six suites in a separate area on Deck 4 (26 m² each) and another suite on Deck 2 (31 m²). The spacious suites are luxurious as usual, offering a walk-in wardrobe, sitting corners with a sofa bed, a daylight bathroom and, of course, a balcony with seating. Elegant design and exclusive fabrics guarantee a feel-good atmosphere.
Plenty of Indulgence & Culinary Delights
A-ROSA SENA boasts a new and unique culinary concept. Guests can choose between an exclusive a-la-carte menu in the SENA GRILL and buffet style dining in the A-ROSA MARKET Restaurant. They can dine indoors or out in the fresh air, as well as attend tastings and small events. And of course, the kids’ buffet will feature the little guests’ favourite meals. The restaurant has different sections, such as a family area or RIVERSIDE, an outdoor area with live cooking. Breakfast, lunch, teatime and dinner are included in the Premium All-Inclusive fare, as are high-quality drinks throughout the day.
The green and light-flooded PAVILION area of the restaurant invites nature indoors and, thanks to panoramic windows, allows a view of the passing river scenery.
In addition, there is a new a-la-carte restaurant, SENA GRILL, where guests can enjoy exquisite cuisine in an exclusive ambience. The selection is centred around ‘Steak & Seafood’ and includes high-quality meat courses as well as sushi bowls or the catch of the day.
A-ROSA SENA welcomes her guests in various bars offering delicious cocktails, signature drinks or coffee specialities. In the Panorama Lounge, guests can enjoy the entertainment programme with a drink from the SENA Bar, with a spectacular view of the surrounding landscape, and calmly conclude the evening on board.
On the sun deck, the retractable UP & DOWN BAR invites guests to soak up the lovely weather and the passing scenery with a refreshing beverage and relax on our sun loungers.
The A-ROSA MARKET Restaurant offers premium gourmet buffets. The culinary palette includes top-quality meat and fish courses as well as vegan and vegetarian delicacies.
Feel-Good Atmosphere in the Spacious SPA-ROSA
Relaxation and self-care are very popular with the majority of travellers. This is why A-ROSA SENA offers the exclusive SPA-ROSA. This grand new wellness area is on Deck 1. From sauna to whirlpool to premium fitness equipment, guests are offered a first-class oasis of wellbeing.
A spa comparable to a wellness hotel, with a whirlpool, Finnish sauna, heat benches for relaxation between saunas and an ice grotto with an ice fountain for cooling down after a sauna.
The fitness room offers more space than ever before, which is especially convenient for group exercises. Up to six yoga mats – one of them with TRX slings – have space in front of the wide mirror front. The room is equipped with eight fitness machines such as rowing machines for endurance training, weightlifting units for the upper and lower body as well as different ergometers. While working out, guests can either enjoy the river view or access a library of Life Fitness On Demand workouts with instructions from personal trainers. In addition, the machines can be linked to wearables to track workout achievements.
For refreshments between workouts and sauna sessions, guests can enjoy a choice of beverages and wellness snacks at the self-service bar.
After a workout, the relaxation room with loungers, couches, armchairs and electric fireplace or the spacious sun deck with comfortable loungers and two pools provide space to unwind.
