In 2024, we expanded our fleet with two special ships that operate on the Rhine and Main.
Compact size –
for a cosy onboard experience
With a length of just 110 meters, the two ships can call at even more exclusive ports than other A-ROSA ships already do. Accommodating up to 140 guests, they offer a very intimate travel experience, making them ideal for couples or small groups.

The cabins of A-ROSA ALEA and CLEA offer more than just a place to sleep – they are our guests’ personal retreat. With high-quality furnishings, we create spaces where guests can feel completely at ease. Thanks to the large panoramic sliding doors, they can also enjoy breathtaking views of the passing scenery.
For a touch of luxury, our A-ROSA suites provide extra comfort. Elegantly designed and equipped with exclusive details, they offer a truly special experience. A unique feature is the bed’s orientation toward the window, allowing guests to wake up to a stunning view of their new destination.

The sun deck invites guests to relax with plenty of seating and lounging areas. Additionally, they can unwind in the whirlpool while enjoying breathtaking views of the passing landscape. With a diverse selection of excursions, guests can customise their holiday to suit their preferences. Culinary delights & indulgence
On board A-ROSA ships, great emphasis is placed on high-quality cuisine. Experienced chefs create culinary highlights with regional ingredients and fresh ideas, allowing guests to experience the flavours of a destination too. At the bar, skilled bartenders are ready to serve classic and custom-made drinks of the highest quality.
Inspired by the successful concept of A-ROSA ALVA on Portugal’s Douro River, we have brought a culinary favourite to the Rhine as well. At the dinner buffet, guests can choose from a diverse selection of appetizers and desserts, while the soup and main course are served à la carte at the table.

Sustainability
Sustainability is important to A-ROSA. With the Green Award certification for all our Rhine ships, we take responsibility for the regions we sail through and their communities. Our newest additions have also been awarded this certification, confirming that they meet high environmental and safety standards. The assessment includes engines, fuel, emissions, and various environmental and safety aspects on board.
Relaxed Cruising is the key concept behind the continuous optimisation of our itineraries. A-ROSA CLEA already offers some of these carefully curated itineraries, such as the 5-night “Main River Romance”. This cruise covers only short distances and allows for long stays in each port, giving guests plenty of time to explore and even experience the cities in the evening. Additionally, by adopting a more relaxed cruising pace and reducing travel distances, we also reduce emissions.
Itineraries with A-ROSA CLEA
Departing from Frankfurt am Main, the 110-meter-long ship offers various cruises ranging from four to seven nights, visiting historic destinations along the Middle Rhine Valley. With extended stays in port and centrally located berths on all itineraries, guests have plenty of time to fully explore and experience each destination.
In 2025, A-ROSA CLEA will sail the Southern Rhine, taking guests to stunning cities like Königswinter, passing through the Lorelei, and traveling along the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Middle Rhine Valley. One highlight is the 5-night “Main River Romance” itinerary, which starts in Frankfurt and takes guests to Wertheim, Würzburg, and Miltenberg before returning to the financial metropolis.
Itineraries with A-ROSA ALEA
A-ROSA ALEA cruises along the Northern Rhine – visiting major cities like Ghent and Brussels, charming smaller ports like Gorinchem, and natural highlights such as the IJsselmeer in 2025. Just like her sister ship, A-ROSA ALEA features centrally located berths and long stays in port, allowing guests to explore each destination even more in-depth. On four- to seven-night cruises, the ship sails upstream and switches to the Southern Rhine during wintertime. On New Year’s Eve, guests can celebrate the turn of the year in the vibrant city of Amsterdam on the 7-night “Northern Rhine New Year’s Dream” itinerary. Departing from Cologne, this sailing includes stops in Antwerp, Rotterdam, and Nijmegen before returning to Cologne.
