A-ROSA temporarily suspends cruises on the Danube, Seine and Rhône

Decision follows governmental instructions

Rostock, 14 March 2020 – A-ROSA River Cruises regrets to confirm that it is temporarily suspending its cruises on the Danube, Rhône and Seine with immediate effect. The French Ministry of Solidarity and Health has issued a decree prohibiting cruise ships with more than 100 passengers on board from calling at French ports until 15th April 2020. Following this decision, all A-ROSA cruises on the Seine and Rhône will be cancelled until that time.

The Austrian Federal Ministry of Social Affairs, Health, Care and Consumer Protection has stipulated that all gatherings of more than 100 people in an enclosed space are prohibited. Following this decree and due to tighter entry regulations, which do not allow guests to travel to the departure point of the ships – Engelhartszell in Austria – all A-ROSA cruises on the Danube will also be cancelled with immediate effect up to and including 3 April 2020.

We are currently liaising with all our customers, tour operator and travel agency partners to provide them with all the latest information. We are offering free amendments to a later date in either the 2020 or 2021 season and guests will receive an additional on board credit of 50 Euro per person. They will also receive a special discount of 30 per cent off a future A-ROSA cruise. Our guests can book the replacement trip or the additional new trip until 30.06.2020 and contact their travel agency or our A-ROSA Service Center.

We understand that our guests will be disappointed and inconvenienced by the cancellation of their cruise but very much look forward to welcoming them back in the future.
