Rostock, 24 January 2024 – This summer, A-ROSA River Cruises will again offer children’s swimming lessons onboard its flagship family vessel, A-ROSA SENA, following the success of its inaugural programme last year.

For 2024, an extra date has been added with three sailings now available, plus the addition of a new course aimed at children who are more experienced swimmers and want to increase their stamina and technique even further. A-ROSA continues to be the only river cruise line to offer swimming lessons, working once again in partnership with the Wasserlust Swimming School.

Lessons will now be offered on three key summer departures, 27 July, 3 and 10 August 2024. Beginner and intermediate courses will again be available for children aged four and above. Beginner lessons are aimed at all children who are completely new to swimming and aim to build water confidence and early skills and techniques. The intermediate course is for children who are already confident in the water and is designed to improve technique and endurance.

In addition, for 2024 an advanced course has been added for swimmers keen to further their stamina and technique, plus teach the basic rules of water safety to ensure participants understand how to keep both themselves and those around them safe. Each course will include six 30- or 40-minutes lessons taught by a qualified swimming instructor and will cost €149 per child.

A-ROSA SENA’s pool is located on the expansive sundeck of the river cruise line’s flagship, next to the separate shallow children’s splash pool. The ship is one of the reasons Rostock-based A-ROSA has been able to record strong pre-bookings for the coming season. Bookings made for 2024 have increased significantly since last October, rising by a monthly average of almost 50 percent compared to the booking period for the 2023 season.
