Rostock, 29 January 2025 – A-ROSA has expanded its 2025 Special & Event Cruises programme with a new musical cruise, more departure dates across the season including peak summer dates, and longer duration options. These cruises are joined by two 7-night Wine & Gusto Cruises, one on the Rhône in the South of France and the other on the Douro in Portugal, focusing on the vineyards along these charming rivers.

Joining the themed cruises programme this year is a brand new ‘Musical up Close’ cruise, which will welcome Marion Wilmer onboard a total of six departures split across the Rhine/Moselle and Danube. After studying singing in Vienna, Marion went on to star in musical classics such as ‘Beauty and the Beast’, ‘Evita’ and ‘Cats’. She will serenade guests on board, whisking them away to the magical world of musical theatre as they sail.

Whilst themed cruises were previously only available as five-night itineraries and during the shoulder season months of March and November, the programme has been expanded for this year to include a wider range of departures dates, including key summer sailings. Furthermore, there is more choice available with a selection of seven-, nine- and 14-night options on various themes, for customers looking for a longer duration holiday.

Also in the 2025 season, guests can look forward to two exclusive Wine & Gusto Cruises on board A-ROSA LUNA and A-ROSA ALVA. The departures focus on the many wine-growing regions and wineries along the Rhône and Douro rivers.

On board these sailings, local vintners from well-known vineyards will host special tasting events. In addition, Master Sommelier Hendrik Thoma, on the Douro, and Sommelière Verena Herzog, on the Rhône, will advise guests on which wines best accompany their dinner. Furthermore, guests will be treated to special delights by A-ROSA Culinary Ambassador Oliver Edelmann and his team, who will create two unique menus on each departure, offering new flavour experiences with matching wines.
